The general rule is just to let it idle a little before shutting down.

As a general rule with any turbo, before either screwing the conkers of it before its upto temperature let the engine warm up 1st,after a long thrashing session down say a motorway then let it spin down for a moment as they are spinning at amazing speeds and if youi kill the engine before it has reduced speed you will cut off the all important oil flow to the bearings on the turbo.
On my Isuzu Trooper turbo diesel it still had the original turbo on it at 250,000 and still as sweet as a nut.

Thanks guys. So if your driving around for 10km and speed is max 60km/h its fine to shut it down without idling for few minutes?

What reg is the car?
If its a fairly new car, stop car, few seconds, stop engine. Most modern engine are designed to be stopped immediately.
As much as i hate it, mine has auto stop start on it. If stopping it immediately did damage no one would fit stop start.
