headlights

Any how. I have a 2015 s-cross that I have to change the headlights but for the life of me I cant see how to change over the headlight height adjust motor. I see it rotates but then what, I have tried pulling it out, as if its on a ball and cup but I dare not pull any harder for fear of breaking something.
The new one also need the manual adjusters removing before the motors go on them, but again cant seem to pull them out
