Luke AKA Tramp *Updated*

Hi all, im nat, lukes wife,
I just wanted to pop on to let you know that luke wont be around for a while. Around 3pm this evening he was involved in quite a serious motorbike accident. The good news is hes alive and concious. The bad news is hes broken his left leg in three places. Hes still in theatre at the time of posting so ill try to keep you updated. They are going to put his leg in an external fixation to keep the bones in place.

Bloody hell......glad to here he's ok(within reason)! I think i can speak on behalf of everyone on here when i say wish him all the best and a speedy recovery! Thanx for finding the time to let us know.

One of my (more stupid) mates recently came off doing a wheelie at 100mph and broke both his wrists, he know has a lot of metal work holding them together :shock:

Thanks all,
Ive been to the hospital today again and have more news for you all. Luke is still on HDU at the moment and they have no immediate plans to move him until after the weekend. I saw the xrays today of his injuries and to be honest i was shocked at how bad they were. Hes broken his femur in three places and his tib and fib are pretty smashed up, the surgeon described them as shards of glass. The surgeons are planning on doing another major op on monday or tuesday. They are going to pin his thigh bone, which is pretty straight forward. His tib and fib are going to be plated and pinned, and hes going to have a full scaffolding frame to the lower half of his leg. The doctors have said they dont expect this to come off until summer 2010. It looks like he wont be home for christmas, were both pretty gutted.
Anyway, just a few pictures for you all.

Thats more scaffold than whats on my sj. :lol:

Thats a right bummer bout christmas......The main thing he's still here 8-)

Did the doc say about physio after...? when my cuz shattered his arm,he was at it for a while.
