1994, does it have a carb or is it the efi model with injectors? Standard Carb is an Asian Carboretta, they can be bought from dealersa and are in the region of £400, other carbs to fit include- webber 32 DGR, nikki (fitted to the VW beetle) and SU hif44, the SU requires an adaptor, as it is a vertical mount rather than horizontal, the SU was fitted to Metro's etc and has 1.5" bore. Webber carb kits can be bought off ebay for £200+ i have one fitted on my 92 sammi sport, they are good for the road but off road they can flood on steep inclines, the best general carb is the SU as it can run at any angle, some SU's require a modification for the vaccum advance and Must SU's require some moving of items in the engine bay including the air box (this depends on the adaptor used) one type of adaptor requires a 2" body lift or a hole cutting in the bonnet for the dashpot,

SU conversion is the most popular conversion, Webber is easiest as it all comes in the kit, and nikki..... well ive had no experiance

Hi Luke thanks for the reply, do I recall something like a Hyundia pony carb works well in addition?

im not sure about the hyundai pony allthough the Subaru 1600/1800 DL (Leone) carb. fits a treat

the carb is a
Hitachi/Holley 2BBL type DCP306 carb (Holley part number 64-9463)
and a good write up for the fitment is included here....

IMO HIFF44 carbs are probably the best carbs to go for! they are nice and simple and like luke said, they don't suffer from flooding on steep angles.

have a look here for all the information you need

There is a fitting guide in the DIY page here: http://www.suzukiclubuk.co.uk/suhiff44carbfit.html taken from the difflock page, its the one with the heated manifold, although i doubt you would need that in Thailand!

The following carbs will fit the SJ413. Some need more work than others
Hyundai pony - Bit of work required
Nikki - straight bolt on job
Weber - Bit of work required, and needs adaptor plate
SU - needs adaptor pipework, and can be a bastard to set up
Daihatu charade - Bit of work required
You can go fast, I can go ANYWHERE
