Firstly...HELLO - this is my first post!
Secondly....I've just got myself a 1988 SJ413 (not sure if its a jap or spanish model...) - the problem i have at the moment is that the rear left brake seems stronger than the right, when braking the whole vehicle pulls slightly left and under hard braking the wheel locks. I have had both drums off today, as i thought the auto adjusters might be playing up - they were full of crap but this hasn't solved the issue. Anyone have any suggestions?!
rear brake probs

Hello saturdaynightbeaver, welcome to the forum!
did both set of shoes look about even? some cowboy hadnt fitted new shoes on the left but not the right?
or it could be air in the rear right brake line.

Re: rear brake probs
Cheers mate
Well the shoes look fairly even, but looking through the MOT certificates, last MOT the left brake pipe had to be replaced & it looks like the cylinder is new. But i will have a look at bleeding the right side through. Anythings worth a shot i suppose...
Are there any pressure bias valves that could possibly be sticking/faulty?

Re: rear brake probs
there is only one bias valve for front/back and that is mounted to the chassis on the drivers side, that wouldnt affect right/left.
If one sides cylinder has been replaced and the other side hasn't that may also affect the breaking!
