Hi

New to the group and looking for a sj or vit as I have just got my licence back due to medical reasons after some time.

No pics as no wheels but I have waited long enough so I'm not gonna rush out and buy the first one I see.

One day I will get one, so if you know of one in the Essex area let me know

:welcome: to scuk matey.

good choice in 4x4

what do you want out of it? an all out offroader or something that is comfortable to drive on road as well?

Sjs are the better offroader IMO but can be uncomfortable to drive long distances.
Vitaras are more comfortable on and offroad however they are more expensive to modify and the IFS is a weak point offroad. But you can pick them up cheaper than a good SJ.

Very much in agreement with this! There are loads of SJs on Ebay at the minute!

In terms of facts, I agree. A Vitara'll be better on road. I went SJ because of the unique charm it has, though there's something brilliantly iconic about the beach buggy look of a soft top vitara with wide wheels.

Thanks for all your replies.

SJ or Vit it is and a soft top.

From my experience of cars and all the repairs I used to do I suspected as much but once I have one I will let you know.

Cheers!!!
