hello havent posted in a while , but does anyone know what year or even model my engine came out of , all i know its a vw 1900turbo diesel ? (pic below)
because went to slindon snaped an engine mount engine fell pretty much nearly out , and now at the moment its a little bugger to start if it does it will go straight into hi revs and chuck out black blue brown smoke and sound like a bag of spanners falling down the stairs , tried running it for a while to see if the smoke clears but no joy?

soo does anyone else know what to do next , or to get it running smoother

does it not have the engine code on it? i couldn't see the picture of the sticker very well the other day

it probably does , but its ethier in some stupid place or covered in shit

but i will take another pic of that sticker tomorrow

so its a vw 1900 tdi from a vento ? and a AAZ engine ?

It looks like an AEY

But apparently it's SDI
non turbo?

Aahhh the AAZ looks very similar to it, but it's just the turbo model, not the TDI
