look at where the springs mount to the chassis, if the shackle flats are parallel with the chassis box section its a 413, if the only one shackle flat lines up with the chassis box section it sammy,

the main difference between sammy and 413 is the wider axles, the diff ratios are different and the body has flared arches (to cover the wider axles) usually sammys have a badge on the front wings with 'samurai' on them also they have it printed on the dash board, Mechanically wise, 413s have a marginally smaller engine (only by a couple of cc's) because of a revised head, although the new and old heads are compatible. Also the hand brake can be funny on 413's they usually are a single cable which attaches to the back axle and operates the rear drums (wheras a sammy has two cables - one running to each drum) Also the trim inside the 413 and sammy are different

But saying that they are all old trucks and alot of bits are compatible so you may find sammy axles on a 410 or a 410 grill on a sammy because people like to change things and they all fit!

Thanks,
Its definately a sammy has wing badges and wide arches also has 1342 engine. back springs look beefed up as it is a VSB.
