From Italy to London...yeah by Zuk!

Post by knower » Sun Jul 31, 2011 9:15 pm

Hello everybody!

I am living in UK, in London, since 9 months now. I am going to bring my dog here by driving my 1986 SJ413 from south Italy to London next week!
It will be a nice trip, I have been in a lot of places with my Zuk!

Since I'll be living in London for at least some years, I'd like to register my car here as soon as I can. Or maybe is easier to buy a new one? I have lots of mods on my Zuk and I don't have space/tools here to swap all of them onto another car! But we'll see!

Any advice about insurance? The car is right-and driving so is not UK standard, I think this will create some problems.

Anyway a big hello to everybody, hoping I can meet you guys in a muddy offroading day!

Cheers!
G.

:welcome: to :S:cuk matey!

Sounds like a good road trip to me! and lets see some pics of your zuki then :snap:

have a look here for info with regards to importing a car http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Bu ... /index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

insurance shouldn't be an issue whether it's left or right hand drive to be honest!

Steady as she goes!

:welcome: to the club.

That is going to be one long drive. I once drove from Bristol in the UK, to Interlaken in Switzerland and that took us around 16 hours each way. That was in a normal car aswell, would of taken twice as long in the SJ  . Should be a awesome road trip though  .

Get some pics of your SJ up when you get a chance :snap: .

Thanks mate.. I'm newtomud, new to off roading and new to forums... This site has given me sooo much info, I visit almost everyday and try to learn something new about SJ's.. I've tried to get involved as much as possible and hopefully return a tiny bit of info by listing pay and play sites.
Can't wait to meet a few of you at these sites when I've done a couple of mods to my SJ.

We're glad you like the site :D

Come to CORE in October there should be quite a few of us... maybe mayhemmiller will come if he's only gotta come from Eastbourne!!!
I'm moving about 10 miles closer to CORE at the end of September, and will be bringing my spare parts collection with me :D
