Hi JDM, welcome to the club!
Nice zook, me and my mate were looking at that one yesterday but it was a bit too far to go look at for us! Hope it all works out for you!

is the handbrake working? I find the most common issue is that the rear drums are not adjusting properly.
If the handbrake doesn't work well, this is probably the cause, on the spanish 1.3 models anyway

Looks alright matey, not 100% sure on the cage, looks like the corners have been welded rather then bent so that's not going to be as strong but apart form that it looks good
I keep thinking about getting a silvia turbo instead of my mk2 golf gti, I would love an AE86 but they fetch silly money
one day i'll save up for one
this one on the bay looks alright,

pop up lamps will fail but most pop ups do lol
few little problems have popped up now been looking round the SJ ..sounds daft but bonnet pull???? were am i looking lol

what sort of BHP does the s12 put out stock?
Bonnet pull is in the glove box
IMO I don't like diesels in SJs because they weigh too much and ruin the main advantage SJs have! their light weight! yes they are good for deep water and a bit cheaper on fuel but that's where the benefits stop
Easiest conversion is the 1.6 8V out of a Vitara
