Hi, ive just bought my first suzuki.

its a sj413 kja with 1.6 vitara engine upgrade, competition clutch fitted, spring over axles and some nice big chunky wheels.

currently needs new wings and arches and a carb modification as its sticking out the bonnet, and its just a cab at the minute, so its a blank canvas. looking forward to making it into something quite unique, cos ive never seen one before.

some of my ideas so far, winches front and back, hydraulic tipper body, jackable sills ect,

any ideas or advice would be welcome.

Welcome to the site! It's a nice looking SJ, originally it would of had a drop side pick up bed, but you probably already knew that, I like the decals & colour scheme it looks like its original but a can't recall seeing that scheme before, im sure it will look awesome when its done!

2 hydraulic arms that are upwards when out of use, and when activated, push out sideways to horizontal.

could be handy in case of a rollover. I dunno what it would take to make it work though, a full size truck is a lot heavier than a small remote control robot

Fair play that's a pretty cool idea, wouldn't take a lot, just design it properly. Already plan on a tipper bed so it could run off the same pump. see how it pans out. Just picked it up now, he's started painting it black which is a shame but might be able to match original paint and get new decals made cos I do like it how it is strangely lol

Nice, I was watching that one on Ebay. You got it for a good price, tidy ones with the proper bed fetch around £1250-1500 a lot of the time!

Yea £460. Just picked it up. Tires are brand new, got to be worth more than I paid for it. What's the difference between a competition clutch and a normal one then, it feels quite snatchy, if you know what I mean.

Nothing beats the feel of a nice snatch

They just have more grip in both the clutch friction material and spring power than a standard clutch so it doesnt slip as easily.

you'll probably find its a bit keener to jump into place

basically they are ON or OFF there's not really much slip on a comp clutch, good for offroad, not so good on a daily drive
