Right well i have finally decided to but a build thread up here after being a lazy arse both with the anus and with the forum... oops. Well she started off as an ebay find which i was quite happy with not much rust at all plus some gv rims with ats and spare rear door etc etc.

I soon hook her on a wee green lane bash which showed just how little flex and a lack of brakes she had not to mention the shocking horrid rancid death wobble scarey ass drive that scared me to death anywhere i went in it so the decision was made to stick her in the garage for the long dry summer and mod/generally better it for the winter.
Me being me forgot about it all till about a month ago when i first saw mud so heres a few things ive done over the past few weeks

New boots bought Malatesta sahara reps 265/75/16s

Wee test on the old suspension setup showed sighns of scrubbage so

The $hitty shackles were then cut down using two of my favorite friends

This added more curve to the springs and alot more flex but the bushes were shot to bits a quick call to dave (llame 4x4 and this lot appeared

The ride is sooooo much better just driving it up the gulley over a few walls and back so i fitted nova shocks to the front and modified astra shocks to the rear. You may notice i pinched scotties idea about welding an eye on TIG style just hope the welds are big enough!!!

Fitted and re wired all the lights and added a fog

Just redone the front brake pipes and a few bits of wireing, tonight tightend the handbrake oh and fitted a brand spanking clutch how fun that was trying to get her MOTed for sun so i can go play up silverdale in the mud uwwww im exited now haha. sorry for the long post chaps any comments or help is greatly received :rockin:

I thought they were on the chassis rail by the drivers side wheel?

Well in that sort of area anyway.

the Chassis number is stamped there ^^^^ and the VIN plate should be near the speaker hole on in the drivers side footwell as said.

Would be a shame if you can't find it but I'm sure you'll be able to get it sorted. it's looking good.

I notice that you went down my route with the astra shocks as well :doublethumbs:
