Can any one tell me how they've managed to remove the heater assembly from a SJ413 without
1: Dismantling the entire car
2: Smashing the heater to bits
3: Having a nervous brakedown
Any tips greatfully recieved. Mines full of Shite and completely blocked.

hi fella the way your ment to do it is take dash out take the suport bar out an un bolt the heater,
but as we all no there is a lot more in volved then that, loom plugs ect an getting it all back an to fun ether,
so i come up with this
1 under the drivers side of the dashboard to the left by the cluch pedel there is the heater mota,
2 you will need to undo the plug at the top off the unit
3 unbolt the 2 lower bolts there are 3 in total but is right up out the way. come to that in a min.
4 at the top off the mota where the top bolt is there is a plastic bit is like a flat lip all the way round
the eage of a rectangel thats at a slight angel down an a way from the mota.
5 grab a hammer an flat screw driver an snap it off this will give you room to undo the
last bolt an slide the mota out.
6 go or get a jet wash an have it down the vent infrunt of the window remember the take the bungs out off
both foot wells goz is guna get wet in there keep going till the walter running out is cleen. then give it a go
where the mota come from to try an get it all round i no theres not much space but better ya do it the more likely
it will work. also there are 4 holes in the vent by the bonnet the 2 closest go in side the 2 at the back go in
the engen bay the 2 black bits off pipe on the fier wall this is where all the craps ment to go,
7 put it all back
hope this help i can post up pics that may help just dont have them now as iv not taken them.

Hi,
Thanks for the infomation, as you can see, I really had to get into the heater!

In the end, I gave up trying to get it out in one piece and popped of the five clips and 2 screws that hold it together and took it out in 2 bits. A little bit of damage, but nothing a bit of superglue and gaffer tape couldn't fix.
T'was fun putting it back togther though. Like a Sauna in the car now though....
