Good Evening

Good evening everyone!

ive just recently bought myself a little SJ413 to build an off roader from.

Anyway just to introduce myself, my Name is Jason or Jay, whichever comes easiest, im 26 and live in Eckington, Sheffield, however, my SJ is currently in Doncaster where i spend a lot of time.

Ive had a few 4x4's but have allways been my daily runner too, had a couple series landrovers, defender, discovery and ive had a fourtrak too. This little SJ is being built to be an off roader but will also be going through an MOT so i can drive it on public roads.

work has allready started as it was very rotten!! so me and my mate who is helping me build it got happy with grinders! there is now very little rot, and the rest is soon to come off. its a red h reg, was an estate with rear seats fitted.

i will have a couple parts to sell(if its allowed on here) like rear windows, tailgate and side windows, rear seats, rear bumper, all four plastic arches and all four plastic bumper corners, oh, and its got a metal front bumper that il be selling too.

When i got it, the carb wasnt too clever, and no vacuum pipes were fitted so ive bought a roll of vacuum pipe and done that, and a mate sorted the carb for me so engine runs much better now, just need to sort timing out when i get tank and new fuel pipes fitted in new location.

There are many many plans for it and hopefully it will be built ready for the winter :)

Welcome to the site, I'm fairly local in rotherham - but my zook hasn't been on the road for about 3 years! Are you planning on cutting up the body work? The hardtop SJ's are harder to find than the soft tops, it would be a shame to spoil it!

thanks for the pic, yeah rotherham isnt too far from me, erm.. not planning it but allready done it!! there was major rot so got the grinder out. its not cut as short as any others ive seen, as ive still got rear windows.

This pic is about a week ago..

Thanks, looking through other peoples build pics, yeah, id say it was pretty solid lol. however, it now has no rust!! and is well on its way to being welded up. then its roll cage build, then hopefully paint and rebuild :) ive started a project thread now too. so progress will be updated in there, ive hundreds of pics but wont upload all of them!!
