Propshaft info

Are all the UJ's interchangeable or is it best the swap the whole shaft? I have noise coming from the front & middle one.

Can the shaft from the gearbox to the t box be removed just like that, or do I have to line it up as it is in the gearbox when I put it back? I was thinking the shaft will be balanced when of the gearbox, but am not sure

Suprisingly my Samurai passed it's MOT the other day with only one advisory, the yoke on the rear propshaft is worn. I took the 'pivot' off and measured it with a micrometer and it was reasonably round (a lot closer to round than the yoke!) So i've decided to replace it.
I was wondering if it was possible to buy new propshafts? I'm not a fan of replacing worn parts with slightly less worn parts, it defeats the point.

Can you explain exactly what parts you are measuring im not sure which exact bit you mean by the 'pivot'? Is it the outside diameter of the bearing cap that you are measuring and the internal diameter of the yoke? The UJ bearing caps should not move within the yokes and be a tight fit so there shouldn't really be anyway that the yokes can wear? It's usually just the universal joint that develops play and need replacing.
You probably can get a new prop from Suzuki but be ready for a shock when they tell you the price.
