Was thinking about Salisbury plain as imber is usually open on New Year's Day and it would be interesting to see as I've never been through there.

Well up for it!
Dunno about the laying off the juice bit though!!! I'm on call over x-mas so will have some catching up to do.
Always wanted to visit Imber and never done the plain though so I will have to control myself!

I shall speak to Trot and my mate from my old work you have never met. He's got a young family though so I'm sure he is a busy man this time of year.

I used to go from downtown on the way to Salisbury. There is a bit called bunny lane which is a good crack! And from there up to Sixpenny handley which has some cool lanes as well!

My mate from work and Trotter seem up for it. He just needs to fit some calipers first.
Should be better than spending the day in bed feeling like crap.

My group of three and Scottie (Unless he just wants go straight down thru Devizes?) can meet at the Ridgeway carpark where it crosses the A4 and then head over Furze Hill and down onto the plain that way.
We could then make our way to Tilshead which is the most central point but I have little experience of the plain so someone may have a better meeting point that is more suitable for making a route out of.
Was looking at
http://maps.the-hug.net/ but gotta go to work now so will investigate further later.
