Hi Folks
I have been looking at the Suzuki Swift in the low tax band, but do not know much about this cars reliability etc. I would appreciate any help, hints and tips about this car. I am looking for one that is not plasticky, but has a decent interior, height adjustment drivers seat, sat nav that is a good one and can be updated easily, also and more importantly a reliable car that is not expensive to run and does not have lots of problems with it.
I look forward to hearing from you very soon I hope, as I would like to sort out a car by next week.

Depends what age swift your going for.

I know the old shape 1.0 ran on fresh air. The new 1.3s are ok. The 1600 sport is terrible.

Relibility wise either me or someone i know has had a variety of Zuks. Swifts, vitaras, SJ / Samurai. Never had any issues with the swifts very reliable. Interior wise the old swift was a bit plasticy. The last one the wife had as the sport on an 07' plate. Was really nice inside. Comfortable for long journeys.

The 1300 tax is pretty cheap and insurance will all depends on age, experience and accidents.

Thats all i know.

I know the 1 litre engine is a 3 cylinder affair, I thought it would be the same engine as the 410 but it definatley isn't.... I wanted an old swift for a while for the boxy wedgy looks & the cheap motoring

But mk1joe might be right. You'll have more fun with an SJ, this is mainly an SJ and LJ and suzuki 4x4 forum but all zukis are :welcome2: :doublethumbs:
