Hi

I'm Dave. I joined last week because I had a problem with the temperature sensor on my 1988 SJ410 Santana. I posted the problem and within hours I got several very helpful replies and I have now sorted the problem. Thanks guys.

Anyway, I inherited the car following the death of my son 15 years ago, he loved the car and I can't bring myself to sell it. I have kept the car roadworthy although I don't use it that often, it still hasn't done 40k. I have a little bit more time on my hands at the moment and although the car's in reasonable condition it needs a bit of TLC (bit of rust here and there and brakes pulling to one side etc), so I'm going to spend some time attempting (in my case it would be an attempt) to get it looking and driving well. I'm sure I'll be back asking questions and would welcome your advice.

I've attached some photos, Cheers Dave

Here's a formal :welcome: to :suzuki: club UK

Woooowww that is an incredibly tidy SJ410, a few small patches of surface rust is rare on one of that age, it's usually more like a few large rusty holes, no sills or inner wings left

I'm not far from you in corsham so if you ever need a hand I can offer some assistance. Also if you ever need a body shop I have a friend who works in one in Warmley and would probably be up for a bit of work 'on the side' at a cheaper rate than normal.

Hi :welcome: to :BS: CUK

Tidy looking little motor.

You're absolutely right too bud, the knowledge / info some of the lads on here have is a great help. Assisted me many, many, many a time.

I hope everything goes ok with it. It's nice to see an original Zuk being cared for.

Jordi

Guys, Thanks for the warm welcome

Scottie, the offer of assistance is much appreciated and I'm sure I'll be taking you up on it soon. Your friend in Warmley also sounds interesting, thanks.

I intend to keep the car as original as possible and although I don't get out in it as much as I should, when I do, I certainly enjoy driving it. During the snow, my wife was the only one to get in work, everyone was stuck on the main roads but we sailed through using side roads - Great! that's another reason I can't sell it!!

Cheers and thanks again, Dave :doublethumbs:
