That is a really neat little vehicle there, I would love something like that, They have one here in NZ called the suzuki farmworker, but it's not road legal unfortunately, but they are still very nice vehicles though

I was thinking to go to NZ and touring in a camper van two years ago and never made it. I had talked to a couple of guys on forums over there but they all laughed at "little" Zooks :-( they were firmly of the opinion that zooks were just too puny and lightweight for use over there- nice to meet a zooker!

I drove my fathers maruti out of the workshop today, first time it's moved under its own power since he's had it

Now has some 70s western wheels cyclone II alloys fitted, a 2" body lift, a 410 transferbox with handbrake (he's going rear disc eventually) and a modded inlet manifold with SU carb.

Yeah he's been sorting out a million bodges by the previous idiot of an owner so has had to buy lots of parts for it, the old carb was crap as well so didn't like to run very well.

Mild offroading if its done by August he's coming to wagtail.

In answer to your earlier question the Swift GTi is a 1298cc engine, the AWD Swift had a 1.6.

I've thought about going to India, buying a Maruti and driving it back, it would be a good adventure but at £7400 they aren't cheap and you'd get hit with another £1480 VAT when you brought it into the country.

So for under £9k i can have a brand new one and drive it all the way here from India. I think thats a bargain. Probably cheaper just to ship it here in a 20' container.
