Hello all new from kent

Post by Zuki994 » Fri Mar 22, 2013 9:58 pm

Hello everyone, new to 4x4. So don't really know to much and it is my first car on road so beats the typical "corsas" :rockin: lol. But just brought the suzuki sj samurai a few days ago. Very clean chassis, clean body, and now is ALOT cleaner inside haha.

Welcome to the site, nice samurai, ill be honest, im not keen on the chequre plate strips on the bonnet, bit it looks pretty clean, its nice to see an SJ with the original seats in. It looks like the wheel arches have been painted, have the cills been replaced with box section? Anyway nice ride,

Thanks people. I'm from Orpington so not to far! And yeah the arches have been painted an the cills have been boxed. I've done an untold amount of cleaning. And yeah original seats. Even has the back ones in which I herd was a rarety. There is a problem with the headlights, you have to take the fuse out to turn them off. And you can't get full beam or nothing. Ohh and the roof is no good in torrential rain hahaha

Welcome fellow Kent Person

I am sure I have seen this car before but could be da ja vu

For the light problem, there is a Dim dip voltage dropper behind the glovebox, try unplugging it and see what that does.

should (was ok on my spanish samurai) work fine without and is not needed anyway, the box sends 6v to the headlights and should only come on when the side lights are on.

very clean looking SJ, look after it and it will give you years of fun

Ian
