Fairly sure Tom had the VW conversion and blew it up.

Welcome to the club.

Yep i had a vw vento/golf TDI in mine and i think there over ratted engines in my own opinion,My lasted about a year and it was back out again. It was gutless in the mud i got so fed up of it so i wound up my injector pump, and turbo and it still was just as shit then the bearings failed in my belt tensior and then my serpentine belt jumped a tooth and that was it it just ran away until it f*cked it self over and then after retiming it all up etc it was a bastard to start so i got fed up even more and put the 1.6 8v vitara engine in it and never looked back since. okay its nice to have diesel torque but it was shit for top end speed. go a anoter bigger suzuki engine mate you wont be dissapointed!
