Hi first off sorry if this has been covered before.
I've been reading quite a few build threads since purchasing Frank. Shuduc and ScottieJ's are the way forward for me. 8-)
So keeping spring under I would like to go with YJ's but cost/availability are a limiting factor. I've read up about the RUF and Rascals on the rear. Frank is a Spanish Santana with parabolic on the rear, I can't remember which thread but apparently these are not as good as multi leaves? :S
So what I would like to know is, is there a reason that Rascal springs are not used on the front as well as the rear?
I was planning on using Toyota Rav 4 shocks all round mod'd like Scottie's for the rear.
Any help gratefully received. Ta muchley!

I think if you used Rascal rear springs all the way round you'd be left with your nose pointing to the sky.

Yeah they would be too high. I think its about a 2 inch lift so if you used them on the front it would end up about 4 inches lift compared to standard and 2 inches higher than the rear with rascals on. Maybe you could lose an inch in the mounting brackets on the front and gain an inch in the rear with a shackle but it still might not work out but in theory could give an overall lift of 3 inches.

I'm just guessing from what lift I think the various springs give though. Also I think the rascals may be a touch longer.

Been doing some more research and came across this site:http://www.generalspringkc.com/Leaf_Spr ... s/1960.htm

Has a hole load of springs but not Bedford Rascal rather unsurprisingly. So need to find specs for them. Hope this may be usefull.
