Coventry Newbie... Hello

Hi there. Just bought first Suzuki, little Vitara. 2001 car, soft top. Says 4U2 on stickers. I'll post a photo when work out how on here!
The great thing about this car is that it's only got 12,300 miles from new! It's like it left showroom. Just two owners, first for 12 years.... Bought for daughter, 12,000 miles then put into barn, and there it stayed. My son and I gave it a good clean, body interior and under...
Delighted with the car.
Must be one of lowest miles in UK?
Only thing I need help with is the rear roof bar/connector to body. I think this must be a common problem... The tail gate closes onto the roof bar, but has snapped the plastic bar retainer. Suzuki don't supply this part. Any ideas of a fix?
Other than this, the car is mint. Almost don't want to use because of the low miles! But that's what it's there for I guess, to use.
Other question is, does anyone know where my son and I could take the car off road? Obviously want to go with someone else. Would need to be gentle off road... As will keep car stock.
Many thanks in advance for comments and help. Gary
