SJ410 front discs can be fitted you will need the SJ front hub assembly, calipers, discs etc and the SJ half shaft, you will need to seperate the Birfield joint from the SJ half shaft and fit the LJ Birfield joint to the SJ half shaft and reassemble the axle with all the sj hub assembly. I have some very comprehensive info that was done by Steve Monkley over 20 years ago when the LJ80 register was still in existence, I'll try to scan it in.

The rear axle can be fitted with sj discs, but I've forgotten how to do it, I think you cut the drum down then fit the disc over it and weld the caliper mounting bracket to the axle. I'll look at the parts catalogue to refresh my memory and try to give you more detail.

Sorry to bit a bit vague, but I've been neglecting the LJ's for years in favour of Lambrettas, Morris Minors and fly fishing, but thats about to change this thursday when the salmon season finishes.

Tried to upload the PDF but couldn't get it to work, so I have uploaded it as Jpegs.

I'll fix that tomorrow for you ;) you just need to use the "place inline" box after each attachment.

Awesome post! Think this deserves to be a stickie!

Better just say thanks to Steve Monkley for producing the info 20+ years ago, just in case he still has an interest in LJ's and views this website.
