You will need to consider a 'bam bar' or traction bar on the rear, as the torqu going through the rear axle will bend the leaves and posibly snap them. you wil also want to make sure the mounts are strait, welding can also weaken the axe tube, there was a fella on difflock who was selling a bolt on kit which looked the bizz and several people tryed and gave good reviews. Althou this is only stuff i have picked up, not actualy done it my self!

hi trotter
with spoa i think the main advantage is hight the cheap way if you do the work yourself
as for disadvantages more chance of tipping over but i have not took mine over yet :!: :!:
if you get decent shocks and springs i think they help a lot mine is quit stable on road and off
it cost me about £300 to do mine thats with add a leaf rough country shocks and will spacers extended brake lines
got away with out using prop spacers as i had a few different props hanging about so just mixed and matched them to make um longer
hope this helps ya chap

I bought a set of saddles which slot into the tops of the old ones which cost me about 60 quid off ebay there dont need welding as there cant go nowhere once ya springs are bolted and i took the u bolts plates and fliped them upside down and put them on the opposite sides only problem i had the was the u bolts were different spaces apart coz one side of the axle is wider than the other on the samurai so just heated them up and hit em to shape with a big hammer the only other problem i had was i had to bend and extend my steering arm but u will need prop spacers too and extended brake lines if you have shackles fitted.
