Vitara 1997 8v which wont start (wont inject fuel)

Hi everybody,
Im wondering if anybody could be of any help? I am close to pulling my hair out.
So I started my vitara and drove it out of the drive then turned it off..... wont start again. I have a check engine light flashing but cant get a computer (OBD2) to read it any suggestions?
The problem I have found that it is not injecting fuel into the throttle body. there is no pulse voltage from the ecu to the throttle body. I have tried another working ecu and key for the immobiliser but as soon as I turn the key the engine light is still flashing. the ECU has the lives and earths it needs.
It is baffling as I only turned it off and now it wont start.
Anyone who could help me in anyway will be greatly appreciated.
James.

Maybe the fuel pump chose that exact moment to kick the bucket...

No unfortunately, I have fuel to the throttle body. just dont seem to be injecting but i have no live from the ecu to the injector. when I tried another ecu same problem. the ecu was from a running anus.
Its a strange problem.

I'm not sure if that year can be checked using the service wire method.
Hopefully "Rhinoman" will spot this as he's the ecu/injection/electronics expert

There isn't any OBD2 on a Vit, EOBD wasn't mandated here until 2001. You can use the jumper method to pull codes but the flashing light is an immo problem. Have you jump started it lately? if you don't do that properly then you can spike the immo and corrupt the memory - that's usually the cause of the problem.
The connector for the codes should be a six-pin connector next to the driver's side headlight, it should have a rubber boot over it.
You can't swap ECUs as they are matched to the immo, the key is also matched to the immo.

yea on the later ones there is an OBD2 under the steering wheel above your feet, cant get anything to read the codes tho even tho it plugs in.
I tried the ecu with the key that matches it i removed the pick up ring for the immo and tried it. as soon as i turned the key the check engine light was still flashing.
I will have a look behind the headlight to see whats there. the bat was a little low when I tried to start it but didnt jump it.

Its a J1962 connector which is used by EOBD but if you check the pins you will see that none of the EOBD pins are populated, it uses a protocol called SDL on one of the pins reserved for the manufacturer's own use, info here:

The pick up ring for the immo is just an antenna, the immo is under the dash next to the heater.

So if I changed the immobilizer antenna, unit and the ECU from an running anus on the same year mine should start if it is an immobilizer fault?
If not, do you have any suggestions of what to look for? Im told your the man to speak to!.

The antenna makes no difference you need the ECU, immo and key. Did you get the fault code?

The anus is down my friends I will be down this weekend to have a look and see what codes I find.
