Hello Scottie - I have a genuine interest in engineering of all disciplines. One of my projects resulted in me taking a couple of years building an NCF Arctic from a low mileage 1995 1.6 injection Vitara. I'm very pleased with the results and it has now been on the road for a few years, never used off-road. Not to blow my own trumpet but it's probably the best built and finished Arctic in the UK. It uses the standard Vitara running gear but with large wheels. I understand that I can't advertise as a new member but would you consider informing anyone who may be interested? Cheers.

Hello Scottie,
My name is Ian I look after a nice low mileage 06 Grand Vitara for an elderly gentleman who loves it to bits and was nearly talked into selling it for a Duster? Not being a Suzuki owner other than a Gt250 in 1979 I've joined the forum to find those elusive parts that Eurocar Parts (any part for any car) refer to as "Dealer Only". That and the hard earned freely given advice of peolpe who know what they are talking about.

Good afternoon Scottie!

I am a Brit, unfortunately I now reside in the Algarve. I have always wanted an SJ413, so I bought one blind. OMG!
Used car prices over in Portugal as indeed new car prices are around about 20 to 50% higher than in the UK.

I bought the SJ413 samurai, and the year is 1997. It has a few issues, and hence my joining this forum, I am hoping some of the members can help me out.

As you seem to be the mainstay of this forum, I would ask if you could point me in the direction of in your opinion the best website to provide a manual so I may begin the process.

Further, I will be posting my queries when allowed.

I appreciate any and all the help you could give me, and it brings back memories of my childhood and the first car that I ever had which needed a severe amount of work.

I'll be hearing from you soon.

Best regards

David :suzuki:

Welcome to the forum.

Service manuals can be downloaded here. https://forum.suzukiclubuk.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2103

The 88 samurai should be fine for your 413, mechanically they are the same.

I do have a 413 specific one to add to the thread when i get a chance.
