Points ,condenser changed and now runs a treat, for some reason my 92 sammy has a 410 dizzy- seems to work fine and at least I understand these! trouble is now the water pumps sprung a leak- why is it we fix one thing only to then have to do another

Dizzy cap off and found points totally closed up and almost fused together, new points/condenser methinks and all will hunkydory( in my dreams).

I'll check timing first, did seem a bit down on power and pick up from tickover was getiing increasingly hesitant. I havent checked timing since changing carb and notice the dizzy is a the end of its adjustment. Im thinking the previous owner was trying to compensate for the crap original carbs over...

engine cranks and fires intermittantly complete with spectacular backfiring every now and then. Before I switched it off it was running fine. I have weber carb conversion and fuel pressure guage so I know fuels getting through. Is it possible after switch off head temp increased enough to blow gaske...

Hello All, Offroading yesterday and sammy was running a treat apart from dodgy starter( aren't they all) but when I was loading it started to overheat. the guage never entered the red but under the bonnet the expansion bottle had fallen off taking the cap off at the samre time. Will rear springs on the front need any mods to fit? Mine is a van so i assume the springs i have are beefed up a bit to cope with extra loads. Will rascal springs bolt straight on also?

lift shackles
After an awesome weekend I realise I need to get some lift! I know this has probably been asked before but as I only want a small lift is the best way just to bolt on 2 inch lift shackles? I assume no other mods are needed. I am running standard springs and I only use sj for offroading only.
