Re: Knocking only in 4wd
Morning :) i am still yet to remove front diff as i have had other more important things to get fixed(brakes) but just doing a little more research on diff ratios. Is it possible i could have a 5:12 upfront but a 4:87 rear.. Causing the fronts to skip? I have recently had a noisey wheel bearing repl...

Re: Fluctuating idle when cold
Is it possible for the idle speed controller to only throw up an issue when running cold? Ill have to look into a duty cycle meter. Ill change the o2 sensor the exhaust looks original and fairly rusty so doubt its been changed in awhile. Could my issue be with a temperature sensor maybe? Looking int...

Re: Fluctuating idle when cold
Yep defo injection i have found the dianostics plug and read the link above so will check that out tomorrow, the plug i have seams to have more than 6 pins unless some arent wired in. It looks like an obd connector? I imagine a code reader would be the way forward..

Re: Fluctuating idle when cold
Would a picture help identify the engine? Or is it defintley single port injection? I did think its wierd that a 98 would still be carbed. Ill have a search for the diagnostics port i guess if i have one then that will answer the question? Does the dash need to be removed to take the clocks out and ...

I seam to have a fluctuating idle only on warm up, once warm it idles perfectly and seams to run fine albeit a little thirsty. Should i have a dianostics port or does it work through the dash? I have no e...
