My urge to restore a kja.....

Post by mike harris » Tue Nov 18, 2014 10:02 pm

Evening lads !

Just recently I'm loosing interest in my suzuki, so I thought I may start doing something else. I want to restore a kja, but the same way I did my samurai, blast it :)

My metal and fab skills and welding skills ect have got a lot better since I did mine so I can hopefully make a nice one.

What you lads reckon? Go for it? :)

Mike

Definitely blast the chassis too.

They do rust / rot on the chassis. Mine had.
I had mine blasted and that exposed a few hidden holes

The u channel for the fuel tank mount rots the worst then the bed mounts.
my rear spring mounts could be snapped off

Thats on a one owner ex plasterers kja so had a very easy life.

I defiantly want to do one.

May have to wait a little while now though.

Be pretty cool to get the project vehicle. See what pops up in the coming months.

Nice blue one on eBay, but it's a touch soon just bought a new car.
