LJ 80 seats
LJ 80 seats
Good morning all, Not all things go to plan( Well, not when I am doing things} Plan 'A' was to have the seat bases reupholstered on some LJ80 seats I got from a scappy. Plan 'A' is now out of the window as when the cover came off the steel seat bases just crumbled apart. The problem now is I don't have a plan 'B'. Anybody any ideas on other seats that would look ok and be as close to the LJ 80 seats as possible?

Can't help really, but if you can't find original seats (or original looking seats) then I personally would deliberately go the opposite direction and get leather seats from an Audi or Beemer, to make it obvious that the seats were "upgraded".
Original is best in a restore, but if you can't get original, go luxurious - at least that makes *some* kind of sense.
Alternatively fit SJ seats as a blatant stopgap.
