First two sets, ignore the bottom two sets, those ones with the spring. The ones with springs are for Lucas-Girling calipers.

Those should also fit Aisin calipers.

Very bad news I'm afraid. I've torn my cruciate ligament in my left knee. Was standing up, and twisted around..knee went 'pop' and I fell on the floor in agony. Went to A&E and they said strap it up and elivate the leg above the chest for 2 weeks. Fat chance, rang my GP and she said if I use the leg it will take maybe a year to heal properly and there is a chance I can make it worse and I'll need (kneed?) an op. So Deep Heat and other gunk being applied..can't sleep as the pain wakes me every 15 minutes or so. Cars and bikes are on hold for some time.

Bollocks.

Look after your health mate! Your knee has to come first for a while. I know real well how crazy it can drive a man when your health fails - so get well soon, buddy. Bug your GP for a referral to a physio - it'll help huge amounts during the healing process, and help limit long term problems with the knee.

Ouch that's not good dude! Been there so I know how it feels...painful!!...although it took them 5 years to realise I had torn mine by which time I had finished it off and completely torn it rather than the original partial tear. Trust me follow the docs advice, I went for over a year with no ACL attached and it wasn't good, my knee constantly popped out of place, even when I rolled over in bed asleep...waking up to a locked up knee.

If it's just a partial tear with a good recovery and physio you'll be fine and be able to carry on as normal, I had my operation this time last year, it was a long recovery! But it's been a very long time since my knee has felt this stable and strong.

The docs probably will put you in for physio after it's had a chance to settle and it really helps strengthen up the muscles around the knee.

Thanks chaps...I can hobble about on it but bending down is a no no so I have ordered a bike jack which will bring a bike up to chest level so I can carry on. Stu popped round and did the brakes, well one of them as the offside caliper is seized. A new one is (gulp) £110 but I found a rebuild kit on ebay for £20. Piglet 6 (green one) wouldn't even turn over and the nine year old battery was knackered..new one in and the tray area cleaned up and she fired second turn of the key.

And nice to hear from you again Terry how are you matey?

Loving what you have done with the battery tray - if you're going to spend the time cleaning it, you may as well paint and seal it.

You think you can still make it to billing?
