Its not really flat I was at the top of a massive hill when I took the picture

How's that hill compare to, say, the downs?

Its about half the height of the south downs where I used to live...
There are a few hills about here!

.... and as for English.... everyone speaks English to some degree!
Lots of people speak better English that a lot of English people!!!

That's not asking a lot...most 'yoofs' around here speak in grunts and I heard one girl actually say 'lol' instead of laughing.
