Soft top conversion
Looking to do a soft-top to hard top conversion but unsure on how to go at it and the best way to go at it?

Re: Soft top conversion
There's no "best way" really. A body swap comes to mind, then there's the option of making a pickup by welding a hard top rear door in (I think ScottieJ is doing that right now, look at his build thread, and Donkeychomp did it with a Vitara, look at his "nodosh" vitara revamp).
Then there's the option of selling it and buying a hard top.
You really want to start off by telling us a few things, such as what kind of vehicle you have. Your name suggests it's an SJ410, is that right?
What do you want to use it for? What condition is it in? Why do you want a hard top?

1985 SJ413VX (SJ50V) with SPOA, rear disc brakes, 31x10.5R15 Kaiman Malatesta tyres, an MOT and a lot left to do!

Re: Soft top conversion
My rear bulkhead is bolted is in two sections, the bottom is welded in and the top unbolts. Mine is more of a pick up with multiple configurations, the Aluminium roof unbolts so I can go completely topless if I want but that pretty much never happens...I just roll the back up.
Have a look at these threads...it's something I've been tempted to do myself.

Would you be better looking for a fibreglass hard top?
