Bestop bikini top

Post by djc » Fri Jan 08, 2016 6:43 pm

Just got one of these delivered from the U.S., off eBay total incl shipping just under £55. I'd read that Bestop were very well made and I haven't fitted it yet but looks really good. Heavy woven and impregnated fabric, with strong webbing straps. Main thing seems to be a tight stretched fit and no straps running back to tailgate. Dead neat, will fit tomorrow and get pics - bargain I think. I saw the Bestop full top from Germany recently for about £125, I think the quality looks excellent.

Here's the eBay link:

looks a bit like this (just the cab cover bit)

That does look nice! If I ever get a soft-top, I'll have to remember those guys. Weird thing is though, it says Suzuki Samurai - but the picture is of a Vitara?

Or am I going mental?

I think that's right Anton, but it's probably just a generic pic, top fits exactly, everything where it should be. Fitted today but no pics yet as pissing down. The front rail that injserts above screen goes in very well - it's a stiff extrusion and fits really nice unlike all others I have used. Straps in right places and tighten up well, top smooth and dead smart. Actual cloth is way thicker than standard tops - basically , highly recommended. I'll try and do pics later.

Yes, please do. I love my tin top, but if for any reason I ever have to replace her, I'd like a soft top.
