Headlamp bulb change

Post by Eltoon » Mon Jan 25, 2016 11:15 pm

Ok, so hopefully this isn't really 'technical' '88 SJ413 - I noticed tonight I have no hi-beam on one side so I guess a new bulb is called for, is this a simple operation? Having just acquired the car I have no manual yet. I'm sure I'll figure it out but a little guidance saves time! Thanks!

There's a 3 pin connector on the back. Pull it off. Take the bulb out, put the new bulb in, push the 3 pin connector back on.

As above but if its a Halogen bulb that you are replacing it with then caution handling the bulb as any moisture from your finger will kill the bulb when you switch the lights on.
