Wow, just read through this and what an awesome build this has been, love it.

How tricky was the bumper to build with the tools you had?

hello, the kja had her first proper job to do today, clearing some fallen and rotten trees from a access road, got to say performed way past my expectations,

i thought i was going to have a hell of a time getting up with the wood on, it was soft as poop, but she just drove up no problem.

hi, conserning the bumper i spent a few hrs measuring and making drawings, as i had what i wanted it to look like in my head, just drew it all out,cut it all out with a 4 inch grinder, tacked it up, kept test fitting it as i was building it. sorted . plus i used it as an excuse to buy a new drill, which i only used to drill the doles for the indicators. lol

Brilliant to see the pics and video of the KJA at work - should serve for many years, and a big grin to own and use.
Can't remember and it's a long thread - did you use red cedar for the truck bed and sides?

Cheers, yea I did, it's nice wood. I oiled it tho, if you leave it it will go a a sort of grey colour.

Its great I've been able to get it out and use it for what I built it for, got lots more wood to get from there, so I'll have plenty more chances to get pics. :)
Cheers

That's fantastic, not only is it really tidy, but it's earning it's keep too! It's great to see it out and about in the woods - like it's meant to be there, you just need an orange petrol chainsaw strapped to the bed too!

Edit - on closer inspection you already have an orange petrol chainsaw on the back! Out of curiosity, who's woods is it? I'd love to get in somewhere like that and collect some firewood, I'd have to take a trailer though.......

I agree - love the fact that it's been rebuilt nice and shiney, and it's still being used as a work truck. Proper!
