Vacuum for auto free wheel hubs?
Poss swapped to manual hubs by someone in the past?
Just guessing though.
1988 Samurai - Truck Cab & Tray Back - 1.6 8v & HIF44 - Snorkel - Stack Exhaust - PAS, YJs & 33s - Trussed, Gusseted & Pumpkin Capped Axles - 4.3 R&Ps - 4.16 T/Box - Rear Air Locker - Full Float Back Axle & Discs - RCV Front Shafts - X-Eng Handbrake - Custom Fuel Tank

Apparently the 4x4 light wont work if they arnt blocked off

I take it that there are Manual Hubs fitted?

I haven't seen the vehicle personally, but Scottie told me this morning that there are no freewheeling hubs fitted, but 4x4 still works - so I assume it's got flanges.

Yup. That there, I believe, is a hub flange.
