Odd Ads

Post by Rabid Rhino » Fri Oct 07, 2016 6:55 pm

After seeing the listing below I thought I'd start a thread for people to post any similar auctions......

I have a feeling it may not be legit & you may end up having to send a moneygam to Nigeria as I was asked to do many years ago for a cheap French Jimny that the seller had Air Freighted to Canada (I'm in NY) for me to collect, just as soon as my Western Union money was sent. They even flew it back to Paris a couple of days later for a friend in England to collect. Oh how foolish I was not to buy it.

Of all the things wrong with it I'm pretty sure you can't do vintage rallies in a 4wd?

In the last ten years there's been a big rise in what I would call these pidgin english eBay listing details.

Probably legit, that's just the nature of having 'new residents' :D where English isn't their first language.

Anyway I just called the number in the ad, and that assertion was correct.

Nah, it's dodgy in my opinion. Gasoline? And 30mpg is total bollox!

Sets alarm bells off.

I know plenty of people in the UK for whom you wouldn't think English was their first language :P
Honestly, Maltese people speak better English than lots of English people!

I get 35 on 31" tyres since putting on the SU and tuning it with a colourtune kit... Might be telling the truth...?
