Celerio Spare Wheel

Post by davejjt » Sun Nov 01, 2015 8:36 pm

My father in law is wanting a spare wheel instead of a repaire kit. Would a full size wheel fit in the boot hole or would a space saver be better?.

Hello welcome to the forum, why don't you spare a minute and take a look around?

I'll be honest, I've never heard of a Suzuki celerio, until I googled it, I doubt anyone here will be able to help with your request as this forum is mostly for 4wd suzuki's concentrating mostly on the Suzuki LJ,SJ,Jimny or the Vitara, grand vitara and other older 4wd models and derivatives,

Your welcome to hang around on here though if you want and maybe next time a celerio owner pops in you'll be able to give advice to them?

On the subject of the spare wheel, most cars with 'repair kits' instead of spare wheels do not cater for a spare wheel at all, if I was you (and there is a wheel well/ aperture) I'd measure the hole, then I'd measure the wheels and see if a standard wheel and tyre would fit, and if it didn't I'd have a look on the Internet and get a wheel/tyre combo that did fit,

Sorry, do you know of any other Suzuki forums where I can ask.

Sorry, my Suzuki forum bookmark list doesn't include any that are really suitable, maybe it would be worth trying Google? Or perhaps another of our members might be able to point you in the right direction?

These guys have been helpful in the past.

Personally, I'd just jack up the vehicle, take a wheel off, and see if it fits in the spare wheel aperture. I really doubt it will, but you could perhaps make a higher false floor for the boot?

Space savers are a pain in the backside, but to be honest I'd rather have a spacesaver and extra boot space.

I did think about getting a full size spare for my daily driver (toyota yaris) and leaving it at home, then if there's a problem, I swap on the space saver and then swap to the full size spare when I get home - the punctured tyre then can be repaired/replaced and it becomes the spare. But honestly my main reason for considering this was that I wanted to recondition my wheels, and I wanted to be able to take my time by having a 5th alloy (from ebay or whatever) and swap over the alloys one by one.

Then my health went down the pan again and everything just went on the backburner.

Sorry to re-activate an old thread but a full sized spare wheel does fit in the boot of a Celerio (I've done it myself).
