Re: The (not so) white one
Love that finish! Is it going to be easy to maintain, though?

tbh it actually looks more textured in the pic than it is in real life.
It shouldn't really need maintaining, raptor is pretty tough stuff.

I ask because BMW do "matt" paint for some of their cars and I've heard it's a nightmare.
I'd like to do my SJ like that someday. But maybe matt grey.

You know that I agree wholeheartedly with that one!!!ScottieJ wrote:It's a 4x4 mind.......looks better with a bit of dirt on it
I hate mud, unless it's mud my Zuk is driving through/covering itself in...

Re: The (not so) white one
Cheers guys! Hopefully we will have a meet up in Wiltshire, once this is finished I need to get out off-roading! Do need to give the blue sj some love mind, it's developing more and more oil leaks and new rust in the few bits of original metal that's left
Got a few jobs done yesterday and today, more stuff painted, some stuff bolted back on, wiring tidied.
Got the bastard Xeng handbrake fitted, modded and set up! Damn I hate those things!!!!!
And one thing that you can actually see, the seat rails modded and new seats fitted. Would have got more done but yesterday included emergency heart surgery on fathers maruti and I spent a few hours today having a tidy up in the shop, but progress is progress and the end of my part of the build is getting closer.

I read that "emergency heart surgery on my father" and my heart dropped!

Re: The (not so) white one
I don't think I'm qualified for that......well technically I'm not qualified for head surgery on the maruti as well
Think it was the headgasket, seems fine now it has a new one on but we found some horrors in that engine, certainly on its last legs so we are going to fit my spare 16v when we get a chance.
There's a crack between 1&2 cylinders and well somehow it's had something in the cylinders at some time in its life oh and it's had the wrong coolant in it at some point so the waterways are seriously corroded.
