Even by my standards its just a quick once over, strip, prime and paint.

Doesn’t take much to improve rotted through wings.

The grill is about fucked, gonna see how the next MOT goes. There is nothing i am really concerned about.

Presuming it passes i may treat it to a new grill and a quick once over at a body shop to make it all the same colour.

New seats. Weren’t too bad to fit. Nothing special but a massive improvement over the old one.

Also made a start on cleaning up the drivers door. I had the door bottoms redone and new panels put in a while back buy never got round to cleaning them up and painting them properly.

Made a start then carried on removing the scabby bits.

Bloody hell she's grown a bit! Next thing you know she'll be driving it!

Nice seats too are they made for the Merc?

Seats are out of a VW transporter, lined em’ up, drilled some holes and bolted em’ in.

I did have more plans but have been asked to go into work tomorrow.

Be leaving the merc as it for a bit now and moving onto the Zuk!

I have no idea when i am gonna get more done on this but i am planning for the best.

Ideally i want to tidy up all the wiring at the back lights and make it easier to remove the body so i have ordered some 7pin plugs and sockets to join the original loom to the new lights.

I don’t know if it’s just me but the white chassis (white in general) shows every tiny rust mark. Ordered some more etch primer and some gloss black for the chassis.

Small steps to make a big difference. Up close you can tell it’s a very quick tidy up job, but it has / is transforming the look.

I think it's worth a paint job mate. It's not an entire van, just a cab so shouldn't take that long. Rattle can it, you can get some very good results with that!

Little bit more done.

Whipped the bumper back off to try and square it up better and give it a rub down and paint.

Flatted it off and a small crack turned into a big crack, quick fibre glass repair and it’s fine again.
