Yes, the yellow/red scheme really works, imo!

Loads of painting still to do. Eventually i want yellow body, red tray back, chassis and axles. That’ll take a while though.

The fuel tank should all be dried inside when I am home next, get a couple of coats of red on it and refit.

Needs a service, hopefully MOT in March at some point.

Personally i don’t believe you should be allowed out with a tool set unless supervised by anyone 5yrs or older.

Sure, in some way, shape or form you have possibly improved it, maybe.

Ultimately congratulations for not blowing it up yet or maiming yourself whilst working on it.

Once i get mine sorted we’ll have to have a ride out bud, do some P&P or laning.

More progress.

Fuel tank is drying nicely, in a very specific shade of red.

Bit of CAD to make the “temporary” infills for the back.

Using the universal SCUK shit rubber.

Not quite sitting right, needs an extra cable tie at the front and back.

Fits a lot better with the extra ties

Little rubber spatz, more to cover the sharp edge than stop mud flying.

Braided hoses to run across the axles instead of copper and the old rubber flexis.

That was done this morning, about 2 1/2 hours work, which is an impressive amount of work in a short time frame for me. Had to stop to take the daughter to a friends birthday party, and do some shopping. I did manage to swing by the motor factors and get an oil filter and oil.

The list of stuff to do is finally getting smaller.

Tank is sat in place, back lights fitted, new fuel sender gauge fitted.

All the back lights seem to be working properly, wiring is still to tidy up, bolt the junction box somewhere.

That looks mental!

What's the capacity of the tank? It looks like a lot more than the factory tank...

I honestly can’t remember the capacity. It is a lot bigger than standard though.
