My SJ has developed a oil leak around the output shaft of the gearbox, on closer inspection there seems to be slight play in the output shaft which makes me think there is a bearing gone?
How could this be fixed? Is it just a push in oil seal? How do i change the bearing in the end?
Thank you
Gearbox output shaft seal

Re: Gearbox output shaft seal
The oil seal can just be changed by pulling out the old one and putting a new one in I believe. If the bearing has gone I think thats a gearbox apart job, but would start with the oil seals, might just have failed.
