How did you get power to your CB?

use the live from the head unit. use one off them blue 3 way box just clip it ova the live add your live an close. jd

couldnt i just wire the possy to the pos battery and the negative to the neg battery

Yes as long as you put a fuse in line. Personally I would run from the stereo or cigarette socket or even the ignition switch to save running wires into engine bay, But whatever you do FIT A FUSE :lol:

now that is a hard one as most off the sj out there has had some one add or take a way loom. Mine is red + black -. But use in the lighter sok sounds like a plan as there are only 2wires. Center being +wit an black. Black - an yer all ways add a fuse!

well If your fitting it into an SJ and the loom hasn't been mucked about with

White - Permanant live ( Interior light, clock, horn etc)
White/black - Live when the ignition key is in the assecory position (radio, lighter)
Yellow/green - Live when Ignition is on. (This is quite handy as there is a spare feed if you have a soft top as its the supply to the rear heater screen.

When fitting any type of two way radio it is always better to take power direct from the battery. Make sure you have fuses in both the positive and negative wires. You can cheat and run the positve to the battery and earth to the chassis.
