Grand Vitara 2001 V6 Auto Mass Air Flow Sensor - any help please

Post by dorne33 » Sun Jun 09, 2024 2:48 pm

Hello from a newbie here - can anybody help with any advice on parts suppliers, breakers yards, anything, for a last ditch attempt to save our beloved Suzuki Grand Vitara V6 Auto 4wd 2001, as we have had an intermittent ongoing fault diagnosed, and need to find a replacement (is presently in the garage now, awaiting us to try and find the part (or not, but am trying my best online, locally, anywhere, pref UK!) it being, we need a new Mass Air Flow Sensor (AFH55M-15 or 13? pref Hitachi), as apparently our old Vitara V6 Automatic is as rare as Hens Teeth now - plenty of manuals but very few automatics, so we are struggling to find this replacement anywhere! Any help, links, advice please, would be very much appreciated, before we maybe have to reluctantly finally give up on the old girl, who has been a brilliant runner, until this problem. As the car is presently in the Electrical specialists garage here in Cornwall as I type this, and awaiting work when we hopefully find the replacement part (with a whole lot of luck needed it seems as car is so rare now!), time is of the essence for any advice please! Have tried Ebay, Suzuki, Hitachi, various UK websites, but no luck so far. Many thanks to you all for any help with this!

The manual V6 engines will have the same MAF.

They list the AFH55M-13 for my 2.7v6 on Autodoc and have Bremi ones available.

I might have a spare one but I’m away for the next 2 weeks.
