Fair play matey! glad to hear its all going well!
I need to book myself onto a welding course too, i'm in the same scenario! as in I can weld but I'm not to the point where i would trust my welding for major fabrication work!

I'm after a decent welding course that isn't going to cost the earth, and is still near enough so I can get thetre and back after work.

Courses vary from £60.00 to 0ver £600.00

The £60 course is of course miles away from where I live.

I can weld, but I am not the best. I would like to be able to do it properly every time without having to do a few practice welds before I get going. I learnt to weld with the good old arc welder, and then moved on to a MIG. Wish it had been the other way round.
