16v vit engine into SJ

I've just been offered a 16v vit engine to put in my SJ.
How much more work is it to fit than a carb'd engine.
i.e. do I need to fit the whole loom or just the bit for the ECU?

You could seperate the engine loom from the rest but that is a lot of work! it might be easier to fit the whole loom, dash clocks and all, then its pretty much plug and play.

I'm probably going to go for a 16valver once the 8v is dead

Depending on if it's mitsi or denso you don't need to fit the clocks if it's denso as it don't need the speed sensor in the clocks. When Rockwatt fitted his he put the whole loom and clocks in. He also tilted the master cylinder and shaved and made his own inlet to get it in. So as Scott said it's not straight forward. Personally after driving both a 8 and 16v the 16v is better on fuel and anti stall makes things easier when crawling but that's about it other than it seems you have to rev the 16v harder
