Bulkhead grommets

Post by martynf » Sun Nov 02, 2008 9:45 pm

Hi All,

My LWB Sammy had a new body shell on her a couple of years ago, none of the bulkhead grommets / blanking seals have been fitted to the new shell they are all missing :-(

Needless to say its gonna leak like you cannot believe!!

The biggest concern it there there is the mother of all holes in the bulkhead right where the fusebox is!! like about 4 inch by 3 I reckon, you open the bonnet and look at the bulk head and all you can see if the back side of the fuse box!! there's no way this could even go out in the rain let alone offroad like this! it'll die in seconds.

As anyone got a SJ breaking etc that I can get as many seals/ grommets out of the bulkhead as possible PLEASE......

Thanks in advance!
Martyn

if you cant get the gromet for behind the fusebox why not weld a patch over it? would definatly stop any water getting through. or if your woried about the heat melting your fuse board fiber glass sheets
