Problem solved ?
Problem solved ?
Where to start.. Well a new topic/post would be a good thing as I keep getting drawn into other peoples posts, not sure whether this is considered rude on forums as I'm new to this sort of chat.. If it is sorry
Anyway, I've been having a bit of trouble sorting out a rear brake conversion on my sammy. The idea was to fit the front discs to the rear and buy new discs for the front..Trouble is the front calipers are Lucas? And the ones I've bought for the rear are Aisin Suzuki calipers.. I also picked up the mounting kit of Ebay quite cheap..The problem is/was that the front discs when moved to the rear rubbed on the inside edge of the caliper mount.. I tried moving washers etc but this made it worse, then I noticed that the round part of the kit(the one with the five studs) has a lip on which sits nicely in the disc moving it closer to the caliper, hence the rubbing. The other side of that round part is completely flat so I knocked out the five studs and put them back in the oposite way.. The disc then sits on the flat side moving it away from the caliper.. The disc now sits right in the center of the caliper mount and there is no rubbing. Hoping that this is a good fix.. Also hoping that the experts on here will agree ?
Now I should be able to buy a set of discs of Ebay at half the price of main dealers using the log book details/reg number that they all seem to ask for.
Thanks to all that have commented/helped on the other posts.

Re: Problem solved ?
P.S. The calipers have now got new seals/dust covers/slider rubbers/polished pistons and are painted with black hammerite.
Re: Problem solved ?
And before anyone says " You never fitted them crappy old pads in the box did you?"
